FBI Sting Operation Nets Pimps, Johns & Teens

Friday, 27 February 2009 18:37 by O.A.T.H.
This, the third such sting operation under the directed by the FBI's Innocence Loss program, has rescued 48 underage girls being prostituted, 50 pimps, and an undisclosed number of customers... and that is a first! For the first time customers were included as criminal targets by the FBI. Some have been saying that unless we start focusing on the "demand " side of this issue, nothing will change. The men that buy and rent children for sex in this country have not been held accountable... and until a message is sent that those who sexually abuse little girls are going to pay for it, nothing will change. Thankfully customers were actually arrested this time, yet unfortunately, no information pertaining to these "Johns" has been released so that the message can be sent. i dont know if anyone will read this but have you ever check the homes where the girls live why they would live home and go prostituteing themself. i know back in the 80's there was a lot of girls who ran away from home and was out on the streets selling there selfs and no one even checked the home. it starts from home???

This is an issue that is so sad, because even if some of the women and children are released somehow they normally just go right back to it, because they do no know of any other options except be in poverty or be a prostitute. They find no way out, hopefully bigger things will soon be able to be done about the victims of these crimes.

Completely understand what your stance in this matter. Although I would disagree on some of the finer details, I think you did an awesome job explaining it. Sure beats having to research it on my own. Thanks. Anyway, in my language, there are not much good source like this.
